I'm Going to Rome!

A couple weeks ago I decided on a whim that I wanted to go to Rome over the summer. I didn't have any legit summer plans, no internships lined up and my only job was going to be babysitting. So I decided to apply to the program through my school, got accepted and Rome here I come! Have any of you ever studied abroad in Rome or been to rome? Any places that I should see for sure? Here are some photos that I found online and after the trip Ill be sure post some of my own.

Spring Weekend '12 Concert

It's official, Spring Weekend is over and its time to get back to work for the last seven days of school. I finished the chem lab report which is awesome but I still have a five page lit essay to write... we will see when that gets started. hehe. I figured I'd take a few minutes to reminise about the amazing weekend and Sunday's concert where we got The Dean's List, DJ Kap Slap, Fatman Scoop and Wale.

Spring Weekend '12

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend! I know I have... everyone has been soaking up the sun on the quad, concert hopping on campus and just having an amazing time. 5 Minutes for Me...

Okay, this week has just about been my craziest yet in terms of school work, friends and other commitments that I just can't say no to. I'm the type of person where if you ask me to do you a favor or help you with a project, I'll say yes no matter how much I have to do on my own. This has become a huge issue for me, in that I'm constantly doing things for others and don't take even 10 minutes a day to do something for myself. I look at my blog as a personal outlet, something that I genuinely enjoy doing and am passionate about. Because of my other commitments, however, I haven't even had time to post. In addition to neglecting my blog lately, my stress level is through the roof, I don't think I have even been this stressed out in a long time... maybe the last time was when I had to pick which college to spend the next four years at. Now that year one flew by, I realize that I need to start changing the way I do things. I can't keep driving myself crazy like this... I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off this week and still have a ton to do. This weekend isn't going to be a break either... it might even be more stressful and tiresome. It is my school's Spring Weekend and I have a 5 page essay for Lit to write, a bio lab report, a bio lab project and a chem lab report. In addition I was asked by my friend to drive her to the train station at 7:00 AM Saturday morning and then asked by another friend to go back at 1:00 PM to pick up her sister and friend. In the midst of that I might be doing community service at a local park and then go back out to dinner later on.... and sunday is the concert from 12:00 to 4 in the afternoon. 

Well I needed some time to vent... now it's back to work for me! xo

Movies

I always feel so behind on movies... 

I still haven't seen The Vow, the Artist or Hugo; I'm embarrassed to say that I've never seen Star Wars or Lord of the Rings either. I think the main issue is that I like watching movies in the comfort of my own home as opposed to in the movies and therefore I end up seeing movies months and months after they come out. In college, finding two to three hours of time is nearly impossible with everything going on and therefore I've decided that this summer is going to be a movie catch-up summer! hehe. Picnic in the Park

Ever since I was little I can remember wanting to have picnics in the park, since we didn't live near a park my sister and I would take a blanket and picnic in the front yard. This summer when we went to Paris, I wanted so badly to have a picnic overlooking the Eiffel Tower but unfortunately it was freezing cold that day! One day... Anyways, I've been seeing some beautiful picnic photos online and couldn't help but yearn again for picnics. Where are your favorite places to picnic?

Weekend Update

Sorry for the radio silence for the past couple of days! I went home this weekend for Easter, we celebrate the Greek Orthodox Easter and I've been busy getting a lab report done before midnight mass tonight. A Wink of Pink

I've always loved pink! The majority of my wardrobe during middle school was actually pink... a little embarrassing. Hehe. But now it seems I've been drawn to pink accents and little hints of pink to make an outfit or room pop as opposed to pink everything. Here is what I mean, these pictures speak for themselves.

Spring Party Anyone?

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's hard to believe that the week is halfway over and I will done with my first year of college in only a month. With that being said, what better time to have a wonderful spring party! My spring get together would include a few close friends catching up for hours with some delicious food and a fabulous tablescape. 

The party would be blue, gold and pink inspired.

And of course macaroons would be on the menu!

Stripe Overload, or Obsession
