Wish List... Stripe Edition

I came across this picture the other day on Pinterest and it connected to none other than the talented and stylish Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Peals. She and her friends were doing a spring photoshoot and one of them got to wear this amazing sweater. From the pop of color front to the classic stripes to the elbow patches I can't tell you how much I love this sweater! What do you think? Would you go for something of this sort?

The shape and fit are amazing, such a perfect spring dress. 

I also found a similar style from Joe Fresh, JcPenny's new line that I recently hear about and its pretty similar if I do say so myself... the only difference, its nearly 1/3 of the price!

Stripes and Coral

I will admit it, I'm still obsessed with the coral pant and blue and white stripe trend from two years ago. I love everything about an adorable nautical outfit and have worn something so similar to this ensemble for a while now. I have coral colored corduroys from J.Crew and in addition to pairing with a striped shirt, I wear my J.Crew chambray with them a lot. I couldn't resist pairing this outfit with some fabulous leopard print shoes {the piping is perfect} and a matching bangle. The Kate Spade watch is the perfect touch and goes well with everything. Lastly, the J McLaughlin overnight bag completes this look... I had to add it in! What do you think? Would you wear something like this? 

I'm On A Boat

 I'm so excited... my three closest friends from college and I are taking a 4 day boat trip (well kind of). We are staying on one of my friend's boat for the next 4 days. Since none of us have our boat license we will take the dinghy out on the water and enjoy tanning on the beach until Friday when we get to go out around Connecticut and New York with my friend's dad! I'm excited to have some time to catch up with my friends, it has been two months since we have all been together and it will be good to exchange stories and laugh a lot! 

I'm also excited for the packing, nautical inspired everything for the next couple of days! 

Stripes are a packing must! What is more nautical that blue and white stripes? 

Casual denim shorts and cable knit sweaters for nighttime. 

Loving the coral nail color as well!

Stripe Overload, or Obsession

Okay... so after realizing that the "preppy patterns" I was drawn to was stripes and stripes and more stripes, I decided to go through my drawers and closet and see how many striped shirts I actually have. Lets just say, I love stripes! Take a look at the obsession!
