Welcome Home... NYC Style

I talked about my day trip to NYC in this post but what I left out was the fabulous doors, architecturally and colorfully all around the city. I have to say the West Village won the award for best and most unique entryways. Hope you enjoy.

OOTD - Equestrian Style

Good morning. We have another chilly day today unfortunately, what has happened to the beautiful springtime weather we got last week?! I got this blazer when we went to Puerto Rico and have been waiting and wanting to wear it... so here it is. The suede elbow patches and collar are my favorite part! 

Paired with Gap jeans, J.Crew jean shirt and riding boots. 

What A Great Day!

I don't think I've ever posted two times in one day but it was such a wonderful day that I just couldn't help myself. I finished my bio lab report after working on it for five days... finished Chem lab early, and got this amazing package of biscotti from my grandparents! I just hope that my good vibes keep coming because I have an interview later on with the dorm I'd like to live in next year. Wish me luck!

New York Adventures

On Friday my best friend and I went on an adventure in New York City. We took the train in to meet our high school friend who goes to school in NYC (how lucky is he?!?) and to be honest I've never seen that much of New York and I've been there more times than I can even count. We walked just about everywhere, from SoHo to Greenwich Village, to the West Village and saw Washington, Madison Square and Gramercy Park. And in the midst of our excursions we ate our way through the city and caught up with each other! It was one of the most amazing days and I thought I would share some of my favorite moments with you. Later in the week I'll post about the amazing doors and gardens we came across... some were just outstanding.

 we had to stop and take some photos. We picked the 

right day to go... it was in the 70s but still breezy so 

our walk was amazing.

Spring Break Shopping

Spring break was wonderful! I had time to relax at home with my family, see some old and new friends and I even got a lot of homework done. It was nice to also have some time to shop with my family over the weekend. I documented the excursion, especially the Tory Burch store. Hope you enjoy!

Bye-Bye Break

I can't believe that it's been over two weeks since my last blog post! I've missed the blogging world but between technological issues and my own midterm stress I needed this Spring break week to regroup and get back to normal again. A two week recap seems a little bit excessive so I'll just explain my technological changes before getting back to my usual posting schedule tomorrow.

 I got an iPad! This is my new J.Crew case which I love. I was getting so tired of printing out 3 - 30 page documents for my lit class two days a week and then carrying a ton of books along too and was thinking about getting a Kindle Fire. But when my dad brought my mom an iPad 3 I ended up getting the iPad too! I have finally figured out how to connect all my Mac devices (iPad, iPhone and Macbook) with iCloud... it literally took me 6 days but I've finally figured it out and am ready to get back into the swing of things this week. Now it's time to decompress before bed... then its back to school tomorrow. 

Cheery Yellow

T.G.I.F... one more week until Spring Break and I can't wait! Despite all of the work that I have to do this weekend and the lack of sleep I got last night, I am still cheery today... definitely this gorgeous weather. When I think about cheery colors I always think of yellow and so today is all about adding pops of yellow  to make interiors and outfits more happy!

Outfit of the Day

Good morning! Waking up to birds chirping, the sun shining and 60 degree weather put me in such a good mood that I did something crazy... I wore a dress today! Unless I am going out somewhere fancy, I rarely wear dresses during the day, I stick to jeans, black pants or legends usually. I thought that I'd share my outfit inspired by this post to see what you think. 

I got this dress in France over the summer and am in love with it... my J.Crew jean shirt is always a staple, and my flats are Juicy Couture, from at least 5 years ago, the trench is from Theory, scarf from Anthro, and my dad got me the aviators over our Puerto Rico vacation! 

Time to do some reading for chem and bio, then I'm off to a rally on our campus quad... Have a wonderful day! xox

Floral Fiesta

Good evening! Hope everyone had a good day and enjoyed the amazing weather. I've been looking forward to the spring for a while, despite our mild winter, and thought that florals would be a perfect way to get in the spirit.

Puerto Rico Collage

Eighty five degrees, sweet sunshine, sand, reading, shopping, and long walks on the beach... That is what we did.

When I came back from vacation everyone asked me two things. The first, "Why are you so tan?" the second was "What did you do on vacation?" My response was very simple, and I think this collage sums it up fairly well. This vacation was much needed for everyone in my family and we enjoyed spending a few days together without the stresses of work (homework and business) and without being attached at the hip to our phones (they were used for picture taking instead). Hope you enjoyed my recap. Enjoy the weekend, it looks like the weather is clearing up for the first time in three days! Whoo! xox

OOTD... yesterday

Good morning! I know I promised a Puerto Rico recap... that will come sometime today, but first I wanted to show my two outfits of the day from yesterday. First of all, the weather here was a tad bit ridiculous, so my two outfits changed throughout the day. We started off with mist, then it turned to freezing cold and then when we were getting ready to go out it hailed, making it extremely difficult to walk in three inch heels! hehe

I got this shirt in PR and paired with with jeans and boots.
