Lately... Hamptons Trip

These past couple of days have been pretty amazing! My family went to the Hamptons for the weekend and although there were two days of rain we got some shopping, eating and beach sitting done after all. The first day we drove for hours and stopped for lunch in Southampton and shopped around a little bit there. Finally we made our way to Montauk that afternoon and then went back to Amagansett for an amazing Italian dinner. The second day was overcast and rainy so we made our way to East Hampton for some shopping {love C.Wonder and Jack Rogers} and then in the afternoon we headed to Sag Harbor for some more food and shopping. Sag Harbor is such a quaint village, I loved the fabulous Pop of Color doors as we walked through. Dinner at Dave's Grill in Montauk was amazing... the blueberry, peach, strawberry crisp was superb. Later on in the evening the clouds cleared and made way for an amazing rainbow and an even more amazing sunset... so my family headed to Gin Beach to capture all of the views. We soaked up the sun on Saturday and then had another amazing dinner at Rowdy Hall in East Hampton that night. Sunday we packed up and headed home with some amazing memories! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Have a great day! xox

Biker Chic

I can't believe that I leave for Denmark in less than a month! One of the biggest modes of transportation abroad is biking... and I'll probably end up rending a bike for the time that I am there. There are so many chic biker men and women that I couldn't decide which to post... I'm hoping that I'll be creative with bike style while abroad!!

Have a great day! xox

Monday's Motivation

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I came across this quote a while ago and saved it because I thought it was so perfect. I have always believed that everything happens for a reason regardless of the situation. This quote says the same, that you can't look back and worry about what could have been because what did happen in life was meant to be. Do you believe in the power of fate?

Have a great day! xox

What's In My Bag...

Don't ask me why but I've always loved when blogs and magazines have "What's In (some amazing fashion maven's) bag..." so while I was cleaning out my bag the other day I decided to take some of my own photos. I typically go back and forth between two bags for my every day use. As you can see, I love a big tote, so the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM is perfect for school and shopping and then when the weather gets bad or I have to carry a lot I switch to a Longchamp bag. This summer I have been pretty much exclusively using the Louis Vuitton bag which somehow still stays pretty busy even though I don't have classes anymore! I like to keep everything neat and organized so you will notice that I have a lot of notepads and cosmetic pouches that hold all of the little things that would typically go right to the bottom of the bag.

Lilly Pulitzer Agenda
Clipboard and notepad
Gucci Wallet
Marc Jacobs Cosmetic Case
Jonathan Adler Pencil Case

iPad in my favorite Tory Burch Hedgehog Case
iPod with my Tory Burch Hedgehog background {I'm obsessed}
Chargers for everything!!

My Marc Jacobs pouch has so many little items...

Newman's Own Organic Mints
 Gum,
Hand sanitizer,
Mirror,
Hair ties,
Lip glosses galore

What do you usually have in your bag?

Have a great day! xox

P.S: I would love to have one of you share "What's in your bag..."

Perfect Summer PJ's

Even though my summer pajamas consist of a comfy t-shirt and pair of cute boxer shorts I have always loved the look of pajama outfits. There is something so classic about a pj outfit especially one with an adorable pattern and perfect piping. I can't even get over how adorable the blue gingham number is... and the anchor boxers are just about the cutest thing (and they are only $24)!

{1} Rickshaw Design Anchor Boxers (they come in elephant and seahorse design too!)
{3} Three J Jamie Pajama Set (love the blue gingham!)
{5} PJ Salvage Ikat Pajama Shorts

What is your go to summer pj outfit?

Have a great day! xox

Monday's Motivation

Happy Monday!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. This weekend involved family and friends galore... I went to a Paris inspired get together Friday night with some friends and we loved the theme idea so much that we continued it through with tropical theme on Saturday. It was nice to catch up with friends and reminisce about high school days while catching each other up on college.

It has been a while since I have posted a {Monday's Motivation} but I thought I'd get back into the swing of things with this quote. For a type A person like myself, reading this quote put some things into perspective. I like to be in control of everything going on around me so letting life unfold for a change has been an adjustment. I have to say, however, that after going to Rome for three weeks last summer and realizing the power of being spontaneous, I have learned that letting life unfold sometimes is an amazing thing.

Such a great reminder... It really is important sometimes to let life unfold, that is where I have found I meet the best people and even learn the most life lessons.

Have a great day! xoxo

To Do List

I mentioned a while back that I am a list checker... I love to create to do lists and I love nothing more than to check things off of them! As I am nearing one month left before having to have my research study written and my bags packed for Denmark I am realizing that the to-do list is becoming even more of an essential item. I have started making lists of just about everything (to do, to buy, to pack, to go... the list goes on and on literally)! Here are some of my favorite to-do lists:

{1} Kate Spade To Do List (old version... new editions here)
{2} Iomoi Notepads & Bamboo Pen
[3} Priority To Do Notepad... brilliant!
{4} Anthropologie Market Needs List
{5} Rifle Paper Co. "Get it done" List... adorable.

P.S - I might need to add this notepad to the list of favorites as well!

Have a wonderful day! xox

Summer Bucket List

I've put together a small list of things that I would like to do before the summer flies by and I am off traveling Europe for a semester. Many of these items involve the company of family and friends  so the last item on the list will be achieved quickly. All in all I want to enjoy a relaxing summer with a lot of outdoor adventures...

What are some of your summer bucket list wishes?

Summer Has Begun

The Chapel on an Evening Run

Summer has officially begun... I packed up my dorm room last week and made my way home for some actual rest and relaxation. I have to say, leaving this stunning campus for so many months is going to be a bit difficult. I have six weeks of summer left to prepare for Denmark, spend time with family and friends and finish writing up my research study! Since the summer is flying by I decided to make a bucket list of things that I would like to do before I leave for Denmark. Do you like to keep a bucket list of summer dreams?

Update...

Happy Summer!! It's hard to believe that summer is completely in full swing and I have to say it has really been flying by! I have been taking a class to get ahead for medical school requirements and have also remained on campus to do research in my lab over the past five weeks so it has been busy to say the least. I have one more week on campus and then its actually time to pack up my room and spend six weeks home before preparing again to go abroad!

I have to say, this summer has been a little bit unexpected in terms of plans but I am truly enjoying every moment of it, despite working away quite a lot with everything going on. Besides fall, summer is my second favorite season... I love fall because it means its time to go back to school and get into a schedule with new classes and meet new people. I love summer because so much of it is spontaneous and if you keep an open mind you can meet and have time to spend with so many great people and do amazing spontaneous things! I've met so many amazing people on campus this summer who I would have never met otherwise and have even been able to explore campus on a whole new level. Additionally, I've been able to take spontaneous weekend trips home and spend some quality time with old and new friends... so far, its been a great summer! What have you all been up to this summer?!
